the wine experience
The first plantings were made over 40 years ago and the region has grown to become one of the world's great fine wine producers. There are around 200 vineyards in the region.

Some of the varieties available are Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and Semillon. These are consistently produced, by a dynamic group of world renowned wine makers, into high quality vintages, winning many awards.

The quality of the vintages produced are sure to please both the connoisseurs and the quaffers from all over the world.

Surfing is synonymous with Margaret River and offers a relaxing and awe inspiring attraction for both young and old alike.

The world class surf brings surfers from all over the world to the consistent, clean, big waves of the south west coast. The Margaret River region also boasts some of the biggest waves ever surfed.

The annual Margaret River surfing contests, inclusive of a four-star World Qualifying Series event, consistently attract large crowds to watch the awe-inspiring moves of the world's best surfers.

Events such as the world renowned Leeuwin Estate Concert and Margaret River Wine Festival showcase some of the world class performers and artists that consistently come to the region.
