Accessibility

Jarrah Grove Retreat has designed its website to run on a broad range of browsers and operating systems. This page sets out information as a guide to the site's "navigation process", the "technical requirements" to run the site properly, the "design standards" used when developing the site, and some "standards and navigation".

This website has been designed to be as accessible to as many users as possible, including:

- people with disabilities who may use assistive technologies,
- those with slower internet connections or less than state of the art equipment,
- rural and regional users.

Ensuring easy access to the site for all users is important to Jarrah Grove Retreat, so please "contact us" if you have difficulties using this site or if you have any further questions or comments.

Navigation
The following list details some of the site-wide navigation features that improve the overall accessibility of this site.

The primary navigation is a set of expandable menus that provide quick and easy access to the site's major content areas. These menus are text-based lists and will still work for users using alternative browsing technologies, or who have JavaScript and/or cascading style sheets (CSS) disabled.

Technical Requirements
JavaScript is used throughout this site. However, where possible, site content should still be accessible to users with JavaScript disabled.

Visual design has been optimised for monitors set at 1024 by 768 pixels resolution with a minimum of 16-bit colour depth. The site will still function for users on other settings but it may not be as visually appealing.

Text resizing
You can make the text larger or smaller on this site, or on any website you visit by changing the settings on your computer.

To check which version of internet browser is installed on your machine:

- open your browser,
- select help from the top menu of your browser,
- select about (followed by your browser name) from the drop down list.

The screen that comes up will display which browser and version you are using.

How to Change the Text Size
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater
- Select view, select text size from the menu and choose a size from the options largest to smallest.
Netscape
- Select edit and select preferences from the menu, a new window will open. Select appearance from the left hand side menu within the new window. Under fonts reset the size (for example, 10, 12, 14 and so on).

printer Friendly
Throughout the web site, every page is printer friendly. Simply use the print function of your browser to print whichever page you like. The print function is usually located under the file menu of your browser window. When a web page is printed, it will only print the title of the page, the location of the page as well as the content. Navigation menus are automatically removed for your convenience to improve readability on paper.

Using the Site
The site has the following navigational features to aid you in your visiting experience:

- Content menu: Covers topics of interest that are specific and related to what you see on the page.
